Course Description:

Lab Science is a freshman/sophomore level course that focuses on how science effects our everyday life. Students will explore elements of scientific inquiry, space science, geology, earth science, meteorology, ecology, and the environment. Your grade received in this course will be determined by total points.  At the end of both semesters there will be a comprehensive exam.

Make-up Work:

If days of class are missed due to excused absences, the student is required to get missed assignments upon return to school.  Work assigned before the absence is due upon return to school. Any missed quizzes or exams that were scheduled before the absence may be administered upon return to school. It is ENTIRELY the students’ responsibility to find out what assignments were missed during an absence.  Make-up work will not be allowed with an unexcused absence.  This is school policy.

Cheating Policy:

Cheating will not be tolerated. Looking at another students’ paper, talking during exams or quizzes, and allowing other students to see his or her paper will be considered cheating and will result in a zero for that grade. Repeated offenses will be dealt with more strictly. Students under suspicion of cheating may be subjected to an investigation including, but not limited to, questioning of parties involved and an oral or written re-test based on the same material. The students involved may be given a zero pending the outcome of the investigation.
