Mr. Toennies's Classroom Expectations

Mr. Toennies's Classroom Expectations

Every teacher is different and expects various types of behavior from their students. While I think it is important that students have fun learning, it does not mean the classroom is a place to goof around. Students are expected to observe the hands off rule at all times. I am very strict about many things and I expect each student to display their very best behavior. I will respect you. You must respect me in return.

Homework assignments are due the day they are assigned. You will be responsible for any material that you have missed. Students will not be allowed to phone home to get their assignments once school begins. One of the most important lessons we can learn is to be accountable for our own materials. It's time we begin to grow up and take responsibility for our actions.

9 Golden Rules

If you open it, close it.

If you do something wrong, admit it.

If you borrow something, return it.

If you value it, take care of it.

If you make a mess, clean it up.

If it belongs to someone else, and you want to use it, get permission.

If you don't know how to operate it, leave it alone.

If it's none of your business, don't ask.

If you don't understand something, ask for help.
