Classroom Managment Plan

Mrs. Brame’s
Classroom Management Plan

Class Rules:
1. Be respectful!
(of others and their property/space, of me, of classroom materials)

2. Be responsible!
(for your learning, for your actions, for yourself, for your choices)
3. Be Prepared!
(stay organized, bring all necessary materials to school)
4. Be your best!
(give 100 percent in everything you do so you can have a successful year)

Consequences:
1. Verbal Warning
2. Name on the board
3. One checkmark = Loss of 5 minutes of recess
4. Two checkmarks = Loss of entire recess
5. Three checkmarks = Visit to principal; note or call home

Classroom Motivation:
To motivate students to always do their best, I use a plan called “Ticket to Success.”  Each week students will have the opportunity to earn tickets that will be put in a jar to be raffled at the end of the week. Students will earn a raffle ticket for no name on the board at the end of each day.  On Friday, I will draw five names of students who will have their choice of “raffle rewards” for the following week.  These rewards include: candy, new pencil, line leader, sitting next to a friend for the day, extra computer time, and no homework pass.  Students will have the entire week to “cash in” their tickets and receive their reward.

Grading Procedures:
Grades will reflect student ability and effort.  Grades are taken frequently from such sources as work completed in class, tests and quizzes.

Homework Policy:
Homework completion is crucial for third grade students to be successful.  Each incomplete assignment, including agendas or other homework items to be signed, will result in a ten-minute loss of recess.  Any assignment requiring students to read for 15 minutes that is not signed will be an automatic loss of the entire recess. During this time, students will work on the assignment; if it is still not completed, it is automatically homework for that night. There will be a note in your child’s agenda explaining which assignment is missing or incomplete.

Grading Scale
92-100% = A
85-91% = B
73-84% = C
65-72% = D
64 & Below = E

Plus and minus grades are also given at the extreme ends of the above scale.
