Welcome!  My name is Mrs. Brenda Krebel.  I live in Columbia, Illinois, but grew up in the Waterloo Community Unit 5 School System.  I live there with my husband, James, and one dog.  My daughter, Melissa, resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado and is beginning her fifth year  as an early childhood teacher.  She and my son-in-law, Andrew, married on June 18, 2005.

I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1975.  I completed my Masters in Education in 1982.  My Masters Degree has an emphasis in reading education.  Teaching reading has always been of interest to me, and I am a member of our school's Fundamental Learning Language Arts Commitee.  I was hired as and aide in the Waterloo School district in 1975 and worked with fourth and fifth graders.  I, then, spent two years teaching first and second grade.  I have been teaching kindergarten since 1979 and love it.  I believe kindergarten should be a fun learning experience.
