Student Expectations

I have developed a classroom plan that affords every student's guidance in making good decisions about his or her behavior and thus an opportunity to learn in a positive, secure, and nurturing classroom environment .  Your child deserves to be in a sound educational climate for healthy developmental growth.  That is why I base our classroom rules on RESPECT and RESPONSIBILITY.  Together we need to encourage your child to follow these simple, but extremely important rules:

RULES:

1.  When Mrs. Brooks is talking, please listen.

2.   Follow directions.

3.  Respect yourself and others.

4.  Use your time wisely.

To encourage students to follow our rules, I will recognize appropriate behavior with praise, hugs, positive notes, special privileges, stickers, treats, and prizes.

CONSEQUENCES:

First time a student breaks a rule:  Warning

Second time:                                            Lose one recess

Third time:                                                Note or call to parents/lose a privilege

Fourth time:                                              Conference w/principal and Mrs. Brooks/lose a privilege

Any SEVERE disruption or behavior:           Conference w/principal & Mrs. Brooks & parents
