All About Me

My name is Lisa Cain.  I am a third grade teacher at Rogers Elementary School in Waterloo, Illinois.  This will be my 13th year as an educator.  I received my bachelors degree from Southern Illinois University in 1996 and my masters from McKendree University in 2011.  I have taught second grade, fifth grade and third grade. This will be my seventh year teaching third grade at Rogers.

I am married and have a ten year old son in fifth grade.  We have a beautiful Golden Retriever dog named Koda. I grew up in a military family (Air Force) and traveled throughout my childhood.  I love traveling to different places throughout the U.S. and other countries.

I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in third grade.  So it's fitting that I teach third grade.  I love waking up each morning and going to work.  My job is very rewarding.  I am fortunate to be part of a team of great educators.
