Mrs. Diener's School Website

Greetings!  Please let me tell you a bit about myself.

I have lived in Monroe County my entire life.  I grew up in Hecker and attended Waterloo schools kindergarten through high school (and I could name all my teachers).  I attended Belleville Area College after graduation, then transferred to Illinois State University where I earned a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  I have been teaching at WCUSD #5 my entire teaching career-- six years at second grade and the rest at fifth grade. . . more than 20 years altogether!  I also hold a Masters degree in Educational Administration, which I earned from SIU Edwardsville, as well as certification in Social Studies, Reading and Language Arts.

I live in Waterloo with my son Samuel, my husband Rick and our mutt Hoover, who was recently adopted from the Monroe County Humane Society.  I enjoy gardening, reading, camping, traveling, being a mom and wife, and teaching kids.
