Mission Statement

The goal of the second grade reading support program is to build on student strengths while providing necessary interventions to remediate those areas recognized as deficient. Remediation may occur in any or all of the five componets of reading {phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension and fluency}.  Our ultimate goal is to cultivate a love of literature, creating life-long readers.
