Discipline Policy

Discipline Policy 

In your child's best interest, and in order to make learning more productive in our classroom we will observe the following rules:

1. Be Responsible

2. Be Respectful

3. Be Safe

I will be looking for the same good behavior you would expect from your child at home. This behavior will be encouraged through the use of a Star Student program designed as an incentive for the students to do their best at all times. To receive a star rating, a child must meet the following requirements for the week:

1. Homework is complete on time

2. Behavior in the classroom, hallway, and on the playground must be good

3. The student will cooperate and participate in group, pair, and whole class activities

 If these criteria are met for the week the child will receive a "Star" rating. They may receive Gladnotes, prize box pick, extra recess, or other incentives.

If these criteria are not met, the following consequences may be used:

Loss of recess time

A note home

Office referral
