My name is Jennifer Moehrs and I teach first grade at W.J. Zahnow Elementary School. Through my tenure at Zahnow as a parent and educator I have been involved in many activities including the parent teacher organization, playground committee and I have also volunteered in my own children’s classrooms. As hard as it is to believe I was also a student at Zahnow. Teaching first grade is a dream come true for me and I am passionate about reading and educating little minds. I hold a bachelor’s degree in communications from Eastern Illinois University and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. I also hold a master's degree in Educational Leadership from McKendree University. I live in Waterloo with my husband Clay, also an educator and our two children Kennedy and Greysan. Our other family members include our dog Liberty (a Border Collie/Brittany Spaniel mix) who can catch a frisbee while jumping in the air and our four cats. My interests include spending time with my family, reading and exercising. I am also a huge Waterloo Bulldogs fan!!!!!! Please feel free to contact me at jmoehrs@wcusd5.net at any time!
