Meet Mrs. Rensing

Welcome to First Grade!

I have been teaching first grade at Zahnow Elementary School for my entire career.  After all my years of teaching, I am still amazed and thrilled at the progress first graders make in nine short months!  Teaching children is truly rewarding - I LOVE IT!!!

My Bachelor and Master degrees were both earned from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.  Additional classes and workshops have added to my training.  Teachers are always learning, too!

My family resides in Smithton, Illinois where I grew up.  My husband and I have been married for 30 years and are the proud parents of three children - one daughter and two sons Three dogs complete our family.
