About Ms. Adams

Ms. Adams grew up in Olney, IL, home of the white squirrels, and attended St. Joseph Catholic Grade School and East Richland High School.  She continued her education at Olney Central College in her hometown for one year.  In August of 2005, she transferred to Carbondale to begin classes at SIUC.  In December of 2007, she graduated with a Bachelors’ degree in mathematics with teacher certification.  Ms. Adams completed her student teaching at Carbondale Community High School, and continued substitute teaching there until May of 2008.  The following year, she moved to the area and began her teaching career in the Waterloo School District.  This is Ms. Adams’ fourth year at Waterloo Junior High School as an 8th grade mathematics teacher.  In addition, Adams will coach the eighth grade girls’ basketball team at Waterloo Juniot High School. 

Outside of her job, Ms. Adams has a wonderful family that she loves dearly.  She has an older brother who is married and lives with his wife in Springfield, IL.  In March, they had their first child, Kinsley.  Ms. Adams loves spoiling and having fun with her as much as she can!  Also, she has a younger brother who attends Logan University in Chesterfield, MO.  Ms. Adams and her younger brother are able to spend quite a bit of time together since he is so close!  More importantly, she has exceptional parents of whom she loves and respects.  They reside in her hometown, which continues to be a central location for all of the family to gather and have some fun!  In Ms. Adams’ spare time, she enjoys watching and playing sports, being outdoors, and having fun with family and friends.
