Classroom Rules, Rewards, & Consequences

 Rules

1.  Raise hand to speak.

2.  Raise hand to get out of seat.

3.  Bring all necessary materials to class.               

4.  Keep hands, feet, and objects to self.

5.  RESPECT OTHERS!!!

Rewards

The students have the opportunity to earn points for following the rules and procedures of my classroom.  They can use these points to "buy" rewards.

Point Gains:

  * Positive class period                      1 pt.

  * "A" on assignment                          1 pt.

  * "A" on test / quiz                          2 pts.

  * Assignments completed in SH          1 pt./assignment

  *Agenda accurately filled out            1 pt.

  *After school check out                    2 pts.

  *Perfect attendance for week           5 pts.

  *No "orange slips" for week             5 pts.

(The teachers fill out an orange slip for each missing assignment.)

Reward List

  > Soda (only bought on Fridays in SH)           75 pts.

  > Notebook                                                  50 pts.

  > Folder                                                      40 pts.

  > Pen                                                           30 pts.

  > Pencil                                                       20 pts.

  > Pencil top eraser                                       20 pts.

The students who do not receive any orange slips during a month will receive a reward day in SH.

The students who receive only 1 or no orange slips during an entire quarter will receive a pizza party.

Consequences

The students can lose points for not following the classroom rules or procedures.

Point Losses

   * Missing assignment in class                      5 pts.

   * "Orange slip" from other regular class     5 pts.

   *Back to locker for materials                     2, 4, 6 .........pts.

The students will be sent to the office with a referral for any severe infraction of the rules or disrepect to the teacher or other students.
