The WCUSD5 Technology Plan was rewritten during the 2003-2004 school year.  A team consisting of community members, parents, teachers, students, media specialists, and administrators met several times as part of the district-wide Strategic Planning Committee.  Based upon the recommendations of this committee as items involved technology, the technology plan was reviewed and modified to develop implementation strategies.

The plan was approved after a review by the Area 5 Learning Technology Hub in Edwardsville, IL.  This approval enables
the district to receive E-rate funds, to apply for other available state monies, and to serve as a plan for the next three years for the district instructional plan as it relates to technology deployment and implementation.
