A letter from Harrisburg to Waterloo Students

Dear Waterloo Students,

As we in Harrisburg have worked our way through the terror and then the consequences of an F-4 tornado, we have seen acts of generosity and sacrifice that are hard to describe.

We at Harrisburg Unit 3 are the recipients of many gifts such as yours.  Our job is to simply pass them through to those who are in need.  I don’t know how to express appreciation for what you have done for people you don’t even know and likely will never meet.  The best I can seem to come up with is a traditional thank you.

We hope you never encounter circumstances such as these, but also hope we are able to somehow rise to be a comfort should you ever be in need.
