College Information

Searching for the perfect school is often a difficult task. We suggest you start with a few of our favorite sites. These sites are free to use and offer a wide variety of information. However, the best way to find if a college is right for you is to visit the school. Utilize the two college days offered to WHS seniors and start visiting!

  • ACT Register for the test, send your scores, and search for information.

  • College Board The College Board is a not-for-profit membership association whose mission is to connect students to college success and opportunity. Each year, the College Board serves seven million students and their parents, 23,000 high schools, and 3,500 colleges through major programs and services in college admissions, guidance, assessment, financial aid, enrollment, and teaching and learning.

  • US News College Information and Rankings Provides information on how colleges rank in comparison to other schools.

  • College Illinois The Illinois Student Assistance Center (ISAC) advises families of what financial aid programs are available and how to apply for them. Users can access information on individual Illinois colleges and universities, and use a State and Federal Aid Estimator that will project how much aid they are potentially eligible to receive based on the college in which they enroll.

  • NCAA Eligibility Application All high school athletes wishing to compete in college at a Division I or Division II institution must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center (Formerly known as NCAA National Clearinghouse)
