The challenge and thrill of understanding how nature works ignites biologists' quests for knowledge and instills a desire to share their insights and discoveries. The satisfaction of knowing that the principles of nature can be understood and sharing this knowledge is why we teach. We challenge your sons and daughters to think critically, to formulate their own hypotheses as possible explanations to unanswered questions, and to apply the approaches learned in the study of biology to understanding (and perhaps solving) the serious problems that affect every organism, including us, on this planet! |
