General Announcements

Today is the last day to bring in your TJs Pizza order forms to Mrs. Goeddel's. If you forgot it, please see Mrs. Goeddel in Room D118.

Renaissance students!  The Yankee Candles will be delivered on Monday, October 21.  You must pick them up before you leave school or before you go to practice!  Please make arrangements to do so.

 

Fall athletes and Marching Band students:  If you are returning to Early Bird Personal Fitness, you must achieve 14 workouts by November 15 to remain in the class.  An average of 3-4 workouts per week between now and November 15 will help you achieve your goal.  Don’t procrastinate.  Perspirate!

 

Guidance

"College Changes Everything" is a month-long initiative in the State of Illinois to promote awareness and support of higher education.  WHS is celebrating this initiative with events to help all students plan for college & careers.  Join the fun during late start Monday in the Library on October 21st and 28th!  Scan the QR code on the flyers to RSVP & grab your friends to complete activities that will help you make a plan for life after high school. Check your student email for more information.

Today is the PSAT test for some juniors.  Bells will be turned off 1st - 4th hours.  Seniors with lockers in the 1st floor E Hallway will not be permitted to go to their lockers until after 4th hour.  Please bring all of your supplies with you.

Oak Hill needs our help on Wednesday, October 30th from 4 - 6:30.  We will be responsible for working the drink station and for busing tables.  Sign up is on the Guidance window.  (You get FREE soup and pie for working!)

Athletics

Congratulations to our Varsity and Fresh/Soph on their victories over Gibault at our Dig 4 Pink!  Thank you for all the support and generosity!  We raised $2,259.00 for The Sideout Foundation!  Congratulations also to our Varsity and JV on their victories over Mascoutah Tuesday night.

The soccer team improved their unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 4-1 victory over Belleville West last night.  Jake Cooling, Derek Young, Tyler Toms, and Hayden Reese had the goals.  Assists went to Jake Elsing, Will Hicks, Eli Gardner, and Sam Ward.  Their record is now 17 wins 3 losses and 3 ties on the season.
