General Announcements

On Saturday evening the Marching Bulldogs had one of their strongest showings of the season at the Effingham Marching Hearts Invitational. The band finished 3rd place in class 5A and brought home the trophy for the best visual performance in their class while finishing 8th overall in a field of 28 bands! The marching band finishes up their competitive season this Saturday as they compete at Belleville East. The band performs at 6:45pm -- be sure to come out and support your Marching Bulldogs!

Congratulations to the mathletes who represented WHS at the Southwest Math Conference meet last night. Winning honors for themselves were Kaitlyn Warden - 5th freshmen, Rylee Ivers winning 8th competing for the sophomores, Eddie Heinen taking 3rd among juniors, and Gabe Lewis who came in 2nd among juniors.  In previous competitions, winners included Lilly Prather - 8th freshmen, Kaitlyn Warden - 5th freshmen, Adam Lechner - 6th sophomores, Eddie Heinen - 3rd and 4th juniors, Gabe Lewis - 2nd juniors, and Adam Ferry 6th and 8th among seniors.

There are quite a few items on the lost and found table in the cafeteria….jackets, sweatshirts, lunch bags, etc.  Please check the table to see if anything belongs to you.

Friday @ 5:45pm will be the last Orange Crush tailgate of the season. We will set up in front of the bus entrance doors right outside the building.  Everyone is welcome to join the fiesta! We will have lawn games and FREE tacos-in-a-bag! Support your Bulldogs and cheer for a victory over Mater Dei! See you all there.

Fall athletes and Marching Band students:  If you are returning to Early Bird Personal Fitness, you must achieve 14 workouts by November 15 to remain in the class.  An average of 3-4 workouts per week between now and November 15 will help you achieve your goal.  Don’t procrastinate.  Perspirate!
