General Announcements

Students and staff, thanks to some generous donations, the Head Shave Challenge has reached their goal of $1,000.  You have been awesome! However, the boys basketball staff is upping their goal to $2,000 to donate to Elsa.  You still have time to help.  You can still donate at any home boys basketball game, in the office, or at lunch.  Look for the boys basketball coaches outside the cafeteria this week to add some change, paper bills, or checks to the pot.

Any juniors interested in taking the SAT prep class should bring money to guidance by this Friday.

Attention Saturday Scholars, the FINAL sign-up is on the door of room D209, please sign-up as soon as you are able. The bus will leave from WHS at 8:15 this week! 

Congratulations to the Regional Champion PIR cast for continuing the hot streak and winning the Sectional Tournament this past weekend at Belleville West.  Also qualifying for the State tournament are Charles Davidson in Original Comedy, Drew Totra and Maddie Weatherfield in Humorous Duet Acting, Maddie Weatherfield in Impromptu Speaking, Eden Stratton in Original Oratory and Extemporaneous Speaking and Jordyn Kretchmer in Informative Speaking.

Staff Sergeant Wilson, with the Marines, will be here on Friday March 20th to speak with any student that is interested in learning more about the careers the Marines offer. If you would like to speak with them please sign up on the guidance website under college visits.    

 

 

Athletics

Soph Boys Basketball @ Jersey Tourney

 

All players trying out for baseball will meet after school today at the high school in the secondary gym.

Any freshman, sophomore, or junior interested in trying out for cheerleading next year should pick up a packet in the office.  Tryouts are Saturday, March 7th.
