Mr. Charron sent this email on 8/15/21:
Our bus company, as well as the industry in general, is suffering from a shortage of drivers. This is resulting in much difficulty in efficiently transporting students to and from school. Our local garage was borrowing drivers from other locations to get by the first few days, but are now fully dealing with a shortage of drivers. Our location is currently short five drivers when all employees are able to report to work. Effective tomorrow morning, the following routes will have adjustments:
Routes 18 & 20: Route 18 will be starting approximately 25 minutes earlier than previously communicated. Also, Route 20 riders will also ride Bus 18, but Bus 20 riders will be picked up at approximately the same time as previously communicated.
Route 10 and 26: Riders from the subdivision behind Quernheim that were previously on Bus 26, will now be riding Bus 10, approximately ten minutes earlier than previously communicated.
Route 28: This Bus will be running ten minutes earlier than previously communicated.
Routes 19 & 24: Riders of Bus 24 will now be joining Bus 19, and all riders of 19 & 24 will be approximately ten minutes earlier than previously communicated.
Routes 5 &16: Riders of Bus 16 will now be joining Bus 5, and all riders of 5 &16 will be approximately ten minutes earlier than previously communicated.
Routes 14 & 26: Riders of Bus 26 will now be joining Bus 14. No changes in approximate pick up time.
Routes 14 & 25: Riders from Oak Valley Subdivision that were on Bus 14 will now be on Bus 25. No changes in approximate pick up time.
Routes 8 & 10: The riders from the Sportsman Club stop that were on bus eight, will now be on bus ten. This stop will be approximately 25 minutes earlier.
Some of the routes running early will be dropping off students and then running routes to pick up students from daycares.
Additional changes will be required with little notice due to illness of drivers, quarantines, etc.
Thank you for your understanding as we continue to deal with very difficult circumstances with COVID and our Economy.
