In other news, Google Calendars are coming back. The Events page that you've used if you've been on the new website or app will be going away and we will go back to using Google Calendars for each sport and level. This will take a little time to get together so for the time being the events page will still be there. Each team page will have links to their calendars on the site. I will still be using the site to put out information in the news and live feed sections.
Soccer has an important schedule change to announce! On Sept. 10th they will be playing at GCS Ballpark, home of the Gateway Grizzlies rather than here at WHS. Tickets will be $5 at the door. JV will still begin at 4:15 with Varsity to follow. The Grizzlies reached out and offered this to us free of charge so we're excited to take them up on the offer and let the kids play in a different kind of environment.
The underclass football schedules have changed in the last 24 hours. We will now only be playing 1 underclass game against Columbia and it will be on 9/9 at Columbia at 6pm. There is always the potential for the underclass football schedule to change as the season goes on and opponents, or our own, numbers fluctuate.
Girls Golf is back to having a full team and played their first match on Monday and has their first tourney on Friday! Unfortunately that means they will not be available for fall sports pictures tomorrow. They will now have their pictures taken at the Acorns before their match on 9/10. A new picture form is being mailed out for them.
We will be selling shirts for the Rt 3 Rivalry football game with Columbia on 9/6 soon. The proceeds will benefit Songs 4 Soldiers and it will be a competition between Waterloo and Columbia to see who can sell the most. A link for the online store will be shared out very soon.
Home matches get going next week with Soccer hosting Gibault on Monday, Volleyball hosting Freeburg on Tuesday and O'Fallon on Thursday, Tennis at home vs CM on Wednesday, Boys Golf at the Acorns on Wednesday vs Belleville West, Girls Golf at the Acorns on Tuesday, and Varsity Football hosts Herrin at 7pm on Friday night! GO BULLDOGS!!!
