It’s January! Are you excited to be back at school? Are you POSITIVE this year’s going to be great? Is the glass always half full for you? Are you a positive Penelope instead of a Debbie Downer? Well, then, you are the student we are looking for in January. This month’s Student of Character attribute is POSITIVITY or having a POSITIVE ATTITUDE. A student who has a positive attitude demonstrates the ability to have positive thoughts about one's self and one's environment even when things are not going as one would hope, has a mindset that uses the words, “I can,” and “it is possible.” Keep up the POSITIVE attitude WHS! We’re half way to summer. Now that’s a positive thought!
Guidance
Thoma Tax is looking to hire someone during tax season. The hours would be Monday through Thursday 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday’s 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The job would include answering the telephone, helping check out clients, taking credit card payments over the phone, filing and other light office duties. Contact the guidance department if you are interested.
Athletics
An arrow can only be shot by being pulled backward. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it's going to launch you into something great. So just focus and keep aiming.
