VFW Auxiliary National Illustrating America Art Contest
Good Afternoon,
The Waterloo VFW Post 6504 Auxiliary is excited to announce the 2025-2025 VFW Auxiliary National Illustrating America Art Contest. This art contest is presented to introduce, encourage and recognize young artists with patriotism through art. Entries will be judged on patriotic theme and technique. Attached please find the information sheet with full set of rules and entry form. Also included is an Art Release form.
This contest is for elementary, middle, and junior high school students. It encourages the artist’s creative abilities and rewards them. This contest is for artwork that was created in the current school year – 2025-2026. There are three grade divisions: K-2, 3-5, and 6-8. The first-place winners for each grade division will be sent to National for judging.
A few of the rules for this contest are:
· Art must be 2 dimensional, must be on canvas or paper.
· Entries may not be smaller than 8”x10” and not larger than 18”x24” including mat.
· Completed legible entry form including parent and/or guardian signatures.
· Students name, age and grade level must be printed on back of art entry.
