Zahnow Elementary Receives $1,000 INEA SCORE Grant for Family Literacy Night!

Posted Date: 09/11/26 (01:08 PM)

Amanda Hill and Sarah Bartosik, Pre-K teachers; Alison Biffar, Speech Therapist; and Stephanie Toenjes from Morrison-Talbott Library were awarded a $1,000 INEA SCORE grant to support a “Make and Take Family Literacy Night” for Early Childhood through Pre-K students at Zahnow Elementary.
The purpose of this special event is to empower families with practical, accessible literacy tools that they can immediately use at home to support their children’s reading, communication, and language development.
Families will have the opportunity to learn, create, and take home resources designed to make literacy fun and meaningful beyond the classroom.
We are grateful for the support of the Illinois Education Association–NEA and excited to bring this literacy opportunity to Zahnow Early Childhood and Pre-K families!
