We are excited to announce that Gardner Elementary has been awarded a grant from the Illinois Education Association to promote self-care and hygiene! This funding will enable us to implement vital programs that emphasize the importance of personal hygiene, cleanliness, and overall health, ensuring our students have the tools they need to stay healthy and thrive.
With this grant, we will target these initiatives:
Hygiene education programs that teach students the importance of handwashing, oral care, and proper personal hygiene practices
Access to hygiene supplies such as soap, toothpaste, and other essentials for students in need
This initiative is part of our ongoing effort to create a safe and healthy environment for students. We are grateful to IEA for their support and partnership in enhancing the health and hygiene practices within our district.
