General Announcements

Any Junior or Senior students interested in entering the parking lottery for the 2024-2025 school year. The google form

will be sent to your email or you can pick up a form from the main office. The form and money is due by April 26th, 2024.

The following students have books to be picked up in the library: Shea Brafford and Rebecca Hargrave.

We are thrilled to announce the commendable achievements of the Waterloo Science Olympiad Team at the recent state tournament hosted at the University of Illinois. Out of 25 teams in the single A division, our team secured an impressive 9th place. The following students had made the top 10 Andrew Aubuschon and Juno Zdroj, who clinched second place in Fossils. Hailey Francis, securing a notable 4th place in Agricultural Science.

Justin Witt and Josh Gerfen, demonstrating prowess by placing 5th in both Ecology and Flight events. Madison Jones and Gavin Littlejohn, with a 6th place finish in Chem Lab. Juno Zdroj and Liam Martin, achieving 6th place in Astronomy.

Justin Witt and Josh Gerfen, achieving 6th place in Wind Power. Hailey Francis, earning 8th place in Forestry.

Jadyn Hensiek and Liv Stephen, securing 9th place in Forensics. Jaime Tyson and Iris Adkins with a 10th place finish in Code busters. Andrew Aubuschon and Emily Lepp, with a 10th place finish in Optics.

Furthermore, we are proud to recognize Jadyn Hensiek for her participation in the choir that performed the national anthem before the awards ceremony, adding a touch of our school's spirit to the event.

We extend our sincerest gratitude to Mrs. Schmitz for her invaluable dedication and support as a volunteer at the Olympiad, as well as for her role in transporting and chaperoning our team. Additionally, we express our gratitude to our esteemed administrators for their unwavering support in making this enriching experience possible for our students.

Morrison Talbott Library and WHS Diversity Club are sponsoring an Arts and Crafts event at the library on April 26th from 3:30-6:00 PM. This event is free to any age.

Don't miss out on the fun! It is not too late to sign up for Post Prom.  Please join us for an amazing evening full of fun, food, entertainment and prizes. Post prom registration forms are located outside room D118.Tickets are $20.00 and you do not need to attend prom to attend post prom. Payment needs to be turned into D118.
