Good morning, WJHS families. In an effort to make the building even more secure in the morning, the doors will now remain locked until 7:35 am. If it is raining or cold, we will allow students to come in to the main foyer near the office. The north building will remain locked even during inclement weather, as there is no staff on that end of the building to open the doors prior to 7:35. For the 8th graders that do weights twice per week, Coach Vogel will let them in at 7:00 am at the main foyer.

These students were recognized at the end of November for being PROBLEM SOLVERS at WJHS! Whether it is working in class or sorting out solutions to their own concerns, staff members noticed and nominated them for their ability to handle whatever comes their way! Like our school motto for the year says, "Everything is figureoutable"! Congratulations!

The WJHS Staff Member of the Month for December is Mrs. Kurth! Mrs. Kurth teaches 8th grade Language Arts and Literature classes at WJHS. In nominations, her students described her as nice, funny, caring, and a good teacher who makes class fun and takes time to get to know her students and create a bond with them. We appreciate all that Mrs. Kurth does to connect with and teach the students of WJHS and congratulate her on this recognition!

With student safety in mind, we would like to clarify afternoon pick-up instructions for 'town' students. All 'town' students will exit through the front doors at both ends of WJHS and must be picked up in front of the school (along Bellefontaine or in front parking lots). All students must use the crosswalk at either end of the building to cross the street. No 'town' students or cars are allowed behind the school during bus pick-up time. Thank you for helping us keep all students safe leaving school!
